Airport Assistance Services

Fast Track Assistance

Terminal 1 security queues may become significantly congested during high European departure peaks, particularly in summer and during holiday seasons. The Fast Track service offered by Airport Assist will assist the travellers to pass through the security checkpoints faster and therefore it will be of great value to the families, business travellers and passengers who have limited connection time.

Meet and Greet

Depending on the booked services, a special Airport Assist representative meets the passengers at the entrance of the terminal, the arrivals hall, or aircraft gate. This eliminates the doubt of new visitors to Lanzarote on whether to go to check-in counters, baggage clearance, and security check-points.

Lounge Access

Customers who wish to have a more peaceful pre-flight experience will be able to access the VIP lounge amenities at Terminal 1. Airport Assist organizes the access to the lounge, where people can enjoy a comfortable place to have refreshments, Wi-Fi, and working places that are not located in the busy departure zones. VIP Airport Assistance

Airport Assist can arrange a more personalised service to passengers who would like a more personal airport experience, including providing services to the airport, arrival, and departure. This service is particularly effective in executives, celebrities, elderly travellers as well as guests of special occasions.

Special Needs Support/Family.

When travelling with young children, elderly family members, or passengers who need mobility aid, the airport processes may at times become complicated. Airport Assist offers specialized services such as check-in, security, boarding, and baggage collection to have a more comfortable airport time.

Baggage & Porter Help

Visitors who come to spend long holidays on the island are known to have heavy luggage and sporting equipment. Airport Assist also assists in controlling baggage handling in the entire terminal, eliminating physical strain and making transfers between transport services and check-in points easier.

Transit Assistance

Even though Lanzarote Airport is not a large transfer point, sometimes passengers who are making transitions between inter-island and international flights need some assistance. Airport Assist assists the passengers moving between the terminals, finding airline desks, and attending baggage operations.

Layover & Connection Tips

  • Terminal 2 and Terminal 1 are in the same complex of the airport. The distance between them can be easily covered in 5-10 minutes, so the transfers are not difficult.
  • When going abroad, it is recommended to arrive at least 2.5-3 hours before the departure during high season. Weekends in summer are very busy.
  • Terminal 2 is mainly used in inter-island flights by the regional carriers. In case you are flying between Canary Islands, ensure that you check your departure terminal beforehand.
  • The airport also offers free Wi-Fi services in the terminals. Registration is easy and applicable to update flight, or to organize further transport.
  • When you are intending to purchase a local SIM card, there are less options as compared to the bigger Spanish airports. Most travellers are now favouring pre-arrival purchases of eSIM.
  • The Guacimeta VIP Lounge in Terminal 1 is a handy escape in the event of longer waits. It can be accessed via different lounge membership programmes and airline tickets of choice.
  • The airport does not have a specific luggage storage. In case you have a long layover and you would like to sightsee the island, pre-plan your baggage arrangements.
  • The majority of airline service desks are found in Terminal 1. In case of a problem with the flight, going to the airline counter in person can be quicker when rebooking than calling a call center.
  • Lanzarote Airport is renowned to be the one close to the attractions of the island. The centre of the city of Arrecife takes approximately 10-15 minutes by taxi.
  • Aviation enthusiasts can have fun viewing aircrafts movement in selected sitting points at the exit gates. The scenery associated with volcanic topography forms a unique view of the runway.
  • The airport has a small layout that will be convenient to families who are travelling with children. The distance covered on foot is much less than at most European major airports.
  • The passengers are supposed to demand wheelchair services at their airline at least 48 hours prior to departure. Facilities and assistance services are readily available in the two terminals in the airport.
  • When staying over, it is generally more advantageous to use a local hotel in Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen than to sleep in the terminal.
